Size guide
All shoes on Midwood Soles are listed in unified sizing: Men's / Women's US. Women's sizing runs 1.5 sizes above men's — a Men's 8 is the same shoe as a Women's 9.5.

Between sizes? Most running styles (HOKA, On, New Balance) fit true to size — if you're between sizes, go up half a size. Retro and lifestyle styles (Jordan, Samba) often run slightly long, and many wearers size down half a size. EU and cm conversions vary slightly by brand.
Birkenstock (EU)
Birkenstock uses EU sizes, and each EU size covers a half-size range. Our labels show both, for example "Women 8-8.5 / Men 6-6.5 / EU 39". Pick the EU size if you already own a pair.
| EU | US women's | US men's |

| 46 | — | 13–13.5 |
| 47 | — | 14–14.5 |
Regular and narrow width: Birkenstock makes most styles in a regular width and a narrow width, and the two are listed as separate products. Regular fits a medium to wide foot. Choose narrow if a regular pair is loose across the middle of your foot.
Kids
Kids' sizes use their own scale, and the number restarts twice. Little kids' runs 10.5C to 13.5C. Big kids' runs 1Y to 7Y. A big kids' size is the same shoe as a women's size 1.5 higher, so a 5Y is a women's 6.5 and a 7Y is a women's 8.5.
| Big kids' (Y) | US women's |
|---|---|
| 1Y | 2.5 |
| 2Y | 3.5 |
| 3Y | 4.5 |
| 3.5Y | 5 |
| 4Y | 5.5 |
| 4.5Y | 6 |
| 5Y | 6.5 |
| 5.5Y | 7 |
| 6Y | 7.5 |
| 6.5Y | 8 |
| 7Y | 8.5 |
Clothing
Tops and jerseys are listed in US sizes XS to XXL. Measure around the fullest part of your chest and pick the row that holds that number. Jerseys are cut loose, so pick your normal size.
| Size | Chest (inches) |
|---|---|
| XS | 32–34 |
| S | 35–37 |
| M | 38–40 |
| L | 41–43 |
| XL | 44–47 |
| XXL | 48–51 |
Jeans and pants are listed by waist in inches, measured at the waistband, so a 32 is a 32-inch waist. If you are between two waist sizes, take the larger one.
Wide widths
Width is printed after the size when a style comes in more than one. 2E is wide and 4E is extra wide. If a standard pair feels tight across the ball of your foot, order the same length in 2E rather than going up half a size.
